As recorded by her gallant Captain and crew.
Up the minute news and information on the Racing Yacht Coyote and her continuing journeys!
Great run yesterday and even better speed at night. Had surges of 13 knots early in the trip, and boy was that fast, then I #1 set a record of 13.64 knots! Then it was broken by #3 (Adam) . Then that was broken by #2 (Connie) then #4 (Stuart) pushed the limits, then last night, #5 (Ryan) hit the all time record aboard Coyote of 17.49 knots! (I had no idea Coyote would surge beyond 12.5 which I had never broken in the previous 11 years!) We currently have traveled 1916 miles and have 250 to go, so Sunday evening is looking promising for the finish! (would certainly be nice to finish in the daylight.) SUNNY is now the name of the game, and the sun is HOT…Great stars out last night, and so was the crescent moon. Shorts and short sleeve shirt and sandals 24 hours a day are now very comfortable - now this is what we came for.. Big event this morning, yes there was another! It is Connie & my anniversary today, 34 years! Food continues to be terrific, port tenderloin for dinner last night, apple cobbler for breakfast, and fridge sandwich for lunch (lots of left over in the fridge rice, BBQ chicken, cucumbers, Mae Ploy sauce„,) Don’t forget to check out other blog postings at www.sailcoyote.com Looking forward to a pitcher of Mai Tai’s Coyote
